Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 ounces white chocolate, chilled and roughly chopped Use high-quality chocolate like Ghirardelli or Lindt for the best flavor.
  • 3 cups powdered milk Substitutable with dairy-free powder if necessary.
  • 1.33 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Hot milk or hot water, for serving Use milk for a creamier texture.

Method

Preparation
  1. Add the chopped white chocolate to the bowl of a food processor and process until you have small chocolate chunks.
  2. Add the powdered milk, confectioners’ sugar, granulated sugar, and kosher salt. Continue processing until well combined, about 1-2 minutes, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Store the mix in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a year.
Serving
  1. Add about 1/4 cup of the white hot chocolate mix to a large mug.
  2. Top with 8 ounces of hot milk or hot water, stirring until completely dissolved.
  3. Optional: Top with whipped cream or a sprinkle of cinnamon for an extra treat.

Notes

Store in a cool, dry place to keep the mix fresh. Consider making a big batch for the winter or to give as gifts.
