Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce Opt for a high-quality brand; mushroom sauce can be used as a vegetarian substitute.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Choose low-sodium soy sauce to control the saltiness.
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce Adds umami; use vegan fish sauce or tamari for a vegetarian option.
  • 1 tablespoon Golden Mountain Sauce or Maggi Seasoning Adjust based on your taste preferences.
  • 2 teaspoons sugar Optional; brown sugar adds a richer flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a glass jar or well-sealing container, add the oyster sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, and Golden Mountain or Maggi seasoning.
  2. If including sugar, mix it in a small heat-proof bowl with a splash of hot water until fully dissolved.
  3. Pour the dissolved sugar into the other ingredients in the jar and stir with a spoon or shake lightly.
  4. Taste the sauce and adjust flavors as needed.
  5. Seal the jar and store in the fridge. The sauce will be good for about two weeks.
  6. Use about 1 tablespoon of the sauce per serving of stir-fry.

Notes

Store the sauce in an airtight container to maintain freshness. Great for meal prep and customizing with your choice of spices or sweetness.
