Ingredients
Method
Heating the Base
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the 2 cups of whole milk and 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream. Heat until steaming but not boiling, about 5 minutes. Keep an eye on it to prevent scalding.
- Stir occasionally to ensure the milk doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan.
Melting the Chocolate
- Add the 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips to the steaming milk mixture. Whisk constantly until fully melted. The mixture should become creamy in texture.
- Keep the temperature low to avoid grainy chocolate.
Flavor Boost
- Once the chocolate is melted, whisk in 1/3 cup of strawberry syrup and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract until fully combined.
Serving
- Divide the hot chocolate evenly into mugs.
Garnish & Enjoy
- Top with whipped cream and your desired garnishes such as halved strawberries, white chocolate shavings, and sprinkles.
Notes
For leftovers, refrigerate for up to 3 days and reheat gently. Customize with non-dairy alternatives or additional flavors like peppermint.
