Sauce Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce low-sodium if preferred
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons granulated sugar or honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons chili oil or red pepper flakes to taste
  • 1 small clove garlic grated or finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger optional but recommended
  • 1 tablespoon water to soften the edges
  • 1 teaspoon green onion thinly sliced, for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar or honey, sesame oil, and water.
  2. Add garlic, ginger, and chili oil or flakes. Stir, taste, and adjust as needed.
  3. Top with green onion. Let it sit for 5 minutes if you can, so the flavors mingle.
  4. Serve with hot potstickers, dip, and enjoy!

Notes

This sauce keeps well in the fridge for up to a week. Substitute rice vinegar with apple cider vinegar if necessary. Serve warm or at room temperature for best flavor.
