Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 package 16 ounces frozen peach slices Dole frozen peaches recommended for flavor and quality
  • 1.25 cups whole milk Adjust to desired consistency; almond milk works great too
  • 0.5 cup plain Greek yogurt Look for creamy brands like Chobani or Fage
  • 0.25 cup old-fashioned oats Adds nice texture; optional for a thinner smoothie
  • 0.25 cup honey Local honey can enhance flavor and offer health benefits
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Pure vanilla ensures the best taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Try Ceylon cinnamon for a unique flavor
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg Freshly grated if possible
  • to taste ground cinnamon for garnish A sprinkle adds a lovely touch

Method

Blending
  1. Start by adding the frozen peach slices to your blender. Pour in the whole milk and Greek yogurt, followed by the oats, honey, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  2. Secure the lid and blend on high until completely smooth, about 30-60 seconds.
  3. If the smoothie is too thick, add more milk, a little at a time, until you reach your desired consistency. Blend again.
  4. Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness if necessary; add more honey if you prefer it sweeter and blend once more.
  5. Pour the smoothie into a tall glass, sprinkle with ground cinnamon, and enjoy immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

For best results, let the ingredients sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before blending. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
