Ingredients

Milkshake Base
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream, softened slightly for easier blending Use high-quality brands like Häagen-Dazs or Ben & Jerry's for best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup whole milk (or almond milk for a lighter shake) Can substitute with almond milk or oat milk.
  • 6-8 cookies Oreo cookies, roughly chopped Double-stuf Oreos recommended for extra creaminess.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances flavor.
Toppings (optional)
  • to taste whipped cream Homemade or store-bought.
  • to taste Oreo cookies For topping and presentation.
  • to taste chocolate syrup For drizzling on top.

Method

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients and set them next to the blender.
Blend Base
  1. Place the softened vanilla ice cream, whole milk, and vanilla extract into your blender. Blend on high speed until everything is smooth and creamy—about 30 to 60 seconds.
  2. If you have a powerful blender, you might not need to scrape the sides. However, if you notice lumps, stop the blender and scrape down the sides.
Add Oreos
  1. Add in your chopped Oreos and pulse the blender a few times until they are just combined. Ensure you don’t over-blend, as you want those delightful cookie bits to remain in chunks throughout the shake.
Adjust Consistency
  1. Check the thickness of your milkshake. If it’s too thick, add a splash more milk (a tablespoon at a time), blending until you reach your desired thickness.
  2. If it seems too thin, toss in a bit more ice cream and blend.
Serve
  1. Pour your Oreo milkshake into a tall glass. Top it off with whipped cream, a few Oreo cookie pieces for garnish, and a drizzle of chocolate syrup if you're feeling extra indulgent.
  2. Serve immediately and prepare for blissful smiles!

Notes

For the best flavor, use high-quality vanilla ice cream. Let it sit out for a few minutes to soften to make blending easier. You can also prepare the milkshake base ahead of time and store it in the freezer for up to an hour before serving.
