Method
 

Preparation
  1. Remove bones from the salmon fillet and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, mix butter, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and lemon juice until fully combined.
Marination
  1. Spread the marinade generously over the salmon fillet.
  2. Allow the salmon to rest at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) or grill to medium-high.
  2. For baking, place salmon skin-side down on parchment and cook for 12-15 minutes. For grilling, cook skin-side down for 6-8 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  3. Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 145°F.
Serving
  1. Let the salmon rest covered with foil for about 5 minutes before serving.
