Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure your butter is at room temperature to achieve that perfect creamy texture.
  • 1/2 cup pure honey Go for high-quality, organic honey to amplify the flavor.
  • 4 cups powdered sugar Make sure your powdered sugar is sifted to avoid lumps.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Pure vanilla extract adds a warm flavor contrast.
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk Add this at the end if your frosting feels too thick.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until it is creamy and light in color, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Gradually add in the powdered sugar, mixing on low speed until well combined.
  3. Once the sugar is mixed in, pour in the honey and add the vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and fluffy, typically around 3-5 minutes.
  4. If the frosting is too thick for your liking, add milk one tablespoon at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
  5. Use this luscious frosting to decorate cakes or cupcakes as desired, and get creative with different piping tips for a bakery-style finish.

Notes

If you want a deeper color, try using darker honey. Keep ingredients at room temperature for the best texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
