  1. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of vegetable broth with 1 smashed garlic clove over low heat.
  2. Let this simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the garlic to infuse its aroma into the broth.
  3. Gradually whisk in 1 cup of cream until smooth; the mixture should thicken slightly.
  4. Stir in 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice followed by 4 tablespoons of cold butter, whisking until fully melted and integrated.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting flavors based on your preference.
