- Pour half of the vegetable oil into the yeast mixture and mix. Add the flour and salt, stirring until just combined.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
- Add the dough to a greased bowl, cover it with plastic wrap or a damp towel, and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
Topping and Baking
- In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, light brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Pour the remaining oil into a 9x11 inch baking pan, coating evenly.
- Gently punch down the risen dough, transfer it to the prepared pan, and spread it to the edges.
- Dimple the dough with your fingertips, then pour the cinnamon sugar butter mixture over it.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
Frosting and Serving
- Combine the softened cream cheese, butter, confectioners' sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and salt in a medium bowl and mix until smooth.
- Drizzle the frosting over the warm focaccia once it’s out of the oven. Serve warm.
