Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 10 pieces large fresh jalapeno peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded Look for firm peppers that are vibrant in color
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened Recommendation: Philadelphia for perfect creaminess
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, shredded Use freshly shredded cheese for better melting
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 10 strips thick cut bacon, cooked crispy and cut in half Recommendation: Wright Brand bacon for great flavor

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded parmesan cheese, black pepper, and onion powder. Mix until well combined and creamy.
  3. Take each jalapeno half and spoon about 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture into it, ensuring it’s generously filled. Place the stuffed jalapenos on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Lay a piece of crispy bacon on top of each popper, pressing down slightly to secure it in place.
  5. Transfer the baking sheet to the oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until the poppers are bubbly and lightly browned.
  6. Remove them from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider broiling the poppers for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end, watching closely to avoid burning. Leftover poppers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
