- Gather your ingredients to ensure a smooth mixing process.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with 2 ounces of Amaretto, 1 ounce of freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1/2 ounce of simple syrup, and 1/2 ounce of egg white (if using).
- Shake the mixture vigorously without ice for about 15 seconds to emulsify the egg white.
- Add crushed ice to the shaker and shake again for another 15 seconds to chill the drink.
- Strain the mixture into a low-ball glass filled halfway with crushed ice.
- Garnish with a maraschino cherry and a twist of orange or lemon peel.
