Ingredients
  

Filling and Spice Mix
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar Use a sugar substitute if desired.
  • 3 teaspoons apple pie spice Homemade spice can enhance flavor.
  • 1 cup apple pie filling Use store-bought or homemade with apples cut into small pieces.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Adds extra warmth to the filling.
Pastry Base
  • 1 can Pillsbury Grand biscuits (8-count) Not flaky layers for best results.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick, melted) Helps with flavor control.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the granulated sugar with apple pie spice.
  2. Open the can of biscuits and separate each dough piece into two layers, yielding 16 smaller rounds.
  3. Press each layer into a 4-inch circle to form the base for your bombs.
Filling and Forming
  1. In a small bowl, mix the apple pie filling with cinnamon.
  2. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the apple filling into the center of each biscuit circle. Fold the dough sides together and pinch the seams tightly to avoid leakage.
Cooking
  1. Spray your air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray and place the bombs in, leaving space between them.
  2. Air fry at 350°F for 8-9 minutes, or until golden brown.
  3. Remove the bombs and dip each in melted butter, then roll in the sugar and spice mixture.
Serving
  1. Serve the bombs warm or at room temperature for the best experience.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature or up to a week in the fridge. These bombs can be frozen for up to 3 months; thaw and reheat in the air fryer.
